Tiered Christmas Trees

For these Christmas trees you choose a color theme and paint your blocks (green, pink, or blue), apply different treatments to each layer (glitter, jewels, or Christmas paper), and then glue onto the trunk. I will have many Christmas papers cut and ready for you. This craft is especially fun for kids to do (and they can't mess it up) so feel free to take this idea and run with it in your families. The back of the tree has a drilled key hole so it can be hung as a set on the wall.

Birthday Blocks and Something Else I want to do

Yes I was too lazy to bust out my own sets and take a picture so I am borrowing this image from a different site.  You get the general idea though. The blocks I made for Birthday and Christmas Countdowns did not have the same paper on each side.  Every side had a different pattern but coordinated.  You could do one block all from the same paper and the other from another that coordinated.  I'm thinking the cost (depending on the vinyl which was $2 per set when I got it before) would be $4 each set.

This is for sale at Deseret Book.  I'm too cheap to walk in and buy it when I know I could make my own cuter.  Whaddya think?  It's 8x8 but we could do smaller or even ornament size.  Any takers?

Believe Blocks

So the next few posts are ideas submitted by Bridgette. I'm going to include the links she sent if you want further details. No costs on these yet, but none look too pricey. If there's interest then we'll ask her to help figure that out. Thanks Bridgette!

Word Plaques

Holiday Word Plaques
This picture is from shanty-2-chic.com. Here is a link to the tutorial http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2009/11/whitneys-christmas-joy-plaques.html.

These are the ones that I made. It says C T R (sorry its backwards.) Instead of using upholstery tacks to attach the word I used a bulldog clip so that I can change it out according to the season.

I will provide all the materials except for the candle sticks. I found them a little hard to come by. I know that Michaels and Hobby Lobby sell them but every time I looked they were out of stock. I have heard you can order them online. If I did so they would probably not be here in time. But, we could always get together again to finish the project.

I found the candlesticks online and so can place an order if we are switching the date. I probably need a week for shipping. I am guessing that cost for this project will be around $15.

edited to ad: I would like to order the candlesticks tomorrow (11/4.) Please let me know if you would like me to order some for you.
